IFA Cell Members Break - Crucial Information Obtained

The IFA cell that was captured by Nuernian special forces, finally broke under interrogation. Crucial information about IFA plans, troop movements, hideouts and other IFA members was gained. This information is of extreme importance to NuerNeo's war effort against the IFA terrorists and could be one of the deciding factors of this war.

Conditions in NuerNeo for the Better

Because of the recent breakthroughs with the rioters and the IFA, Kalamare has asked if there is still reason to keep Frost in the country, though she insists that she must help with the IFA. It is most likely that if the government approves, Frost will have her way and stay in the country.

Efforts to Help Tokkyland Continue

Yaru Peckman began his job today, he spent the day with the Tokkish government discussing the causes of of the impending war with Aleniara Isle. He believes he has made a breakthrough and plans to travel to the Isle tomorrow and begin speaking with the dictator and the government. He hopes that he will be able to reach an understanding, and that a war will never be reached.

Reconstruction in Kalamare Going Faster Than Expected

The reconstruction in major cities and trade buildings after the recent riots is going faster than expected, thanks to the financial and physical aide provided by the Chimatsurite government and citizens. The repair on one of the largest trade centers in the country is completed, and they have agreed to send 5% of every sale to the Kingdom of Chimatsuri to repay them for the help they have given us. All of the trade buildings will be doing this, and we hope that soon we will be able to repay the government in full.

News from Tokkyland

After the negotiator's decision to visit the Isle, 500 men have been ordered to escort him to the border, where they will remain because of the tensioned relationships between the nations. Tokkyland is also almost done building up defenses, and very soon the country will be prepared for the awaited invasion, as spies have reported that the mobilisations towards the borders continue. The police along with the army have arrested every rioter in the streets, and despite the people's plead to begin reconstructions, the government has declined, the reason being the imminent war, as the Minister of Defence said.

Kalamarian Diplomat to Stay?

The Kalamarian administration is debating whether or not to keep Frost, the Kalamarian diplomat, in NuerNeo. Sources say that Frost wishes to stay in NuerNeo to help with negotiations betweeen the IFA and the Nuernian people, however Voron Black surprisingly declined Frost's offer to stay.
"I, as well as the rest of the NuerNeo, are grateful for Ms. Frost's selfless gesture to help with negotiations, I, on behalf of the Nuernian people, must decline." Said Mr. Black, "There is simply no room for negotiations with terrorists, and NuerNeo will not stand down to the dogs who dare threaten her people. There will be war, and keeping Ms. Frost in the country will simply put her in danger, from dissidents and terrorists alike, which is something I wish to avoid."

NuerNeo to Aid in Tokkyland's War Effort

Despite the recently declared war between NuerNeo and IFA, NuerNeo has still sent a total of 2 infantary divisions, one armoured division and 300 special forces operatives to aid Tokkyland in their war against Aleniara Isle.

Frost Receives Warm Welcome Home

Much to the surprise of the government, Olivia Frost easily accepted Voron Black's decision to send her home.
"He knows his people much better than I know them, and if he doesn't think I can do any good, I trust him," she said right before she was to leave.
When she arrived at the airport in Kalamare, she was bombarded by huge crowds welcoming her home. She patiently answered uncountable numbers of questions.
When we asked her what she was going to do next, she said, "I plan to offer my help to NuerNeo in any way possible, and since that isn't the way I'm used to, I will go to Tokkyland-if they'll take me- and join Yaru."
While she wits for a reply from Tokkyland, she plans to spend time with her family and her elderly mother.

Hammen Healing Quickly

After her recent attack, Selena Hammen has been receiving top care in NuerNeo, and thanks to their best efforts, she has been healing rapidly and will soon be well enough to return home to her family and country.

Aid to Kalamare Upsets Minority, Government Unresponsive

A minority anarcho-capitalist group in Corburg launched a small-scale protest in front of the nation's Parliament House earlier today, in response to the government's decision to provide aid to Kalamare's recovery efforts.
One protester, holding a banner saying "Chishios for Chimatsuri", said, "The riots are their problem, not ours! There's just no need for us to be involved!"

The protest was largely peaceful, with only four of the approximately 500 protesters being escorted away by police. It has not in any way deterred the Chimatsuriite government from providing aid to it's allies.

"What these protesters are forgetting is the importance of these countries to our economy," the Minister for Industry and Environment was quoted as saying. "It really is in Chimatsuri's best interest to assist our neighbours in these tough times, and we shall continue to support them in any way possible for as long as it will be of benefit to Chimatsuri, the riot-affected countries, and the region as a whole."

Goldleaf Evacuated

Nuernian troops arrived in Imperial Rusland's capital yesterday, and ordered the population of the city to immediately evacuate the city. No reason was given for the sudden evacuation but so far everything has gone smoothly and the evacuation has so far been successful with Goldleaf's people being quite compliant. The people are being moved to several refugee camps just outside the Nuernian-Imperial border.

Tokkyland ready for war.

Tokkyland's defenses are finally in position, as most of the available military has been deployed on the western, northern and easter coasts bordering the Isle, while the navy has created a blockade in the south, preventing any escape by sea. Among the warships in the blockade, 4 aircraft carriers can be found, equipped with lots of F-18 and several F-117. Some of Tokkyland's rockets from the military bases have also been locked on their targets, waiting to be unleashed. It seems like Tokkyland is very prepared for this, and it will stop at nothing now.
Kalamare's nagotiator, Yaru Peckman, has been succesfully escorted to the Isle, where he was awaited by a convoy of around 200 men and 10 tanks. With Mr. Peckman's knowledge and agreement, we inserted a microchip in his underwear, which will allow us to track him from the ISS, in case anything will happen. Spies have also reported that up to 80% of their military is now very close to the borders (which lack any significant fortifications our spies say) in big military camps. It seems like each side is waiting for the other's move.*
Citizens living in cities and villages close to the hot zone are being evacuted right in this moment, the evacuation lasting somewhere between 2 and 3 days, experts say, mostly because it is just for prevention, as there it not ANY danger to these cities. The civillians will be taken deeper in the nation, in government funded Civillian Facilities that are designed to offer protection, the resources inside could also last as long as 6 months with the full capacity of the facility. The capacity depends on the size of the facility, but the smallest ones could house around 7,000 persons.

* One of our spies, that had overheard an interesting conversation, said that Aleniara Isle is relying on international support, as their plan is to make it seem that Tokkyland invaded the Isle without any reason.

Chimatsuri Faced Refugee Influx

In the past week, over 5,000 refugees have applied for political asylum in Chimatsuri - almost 8 times more than in the past year.

Many of these refugees are from cities near the border between Tokkyland and the Aleniara Isle, those who are concerned about the potential war. Among their numbers are also a small number of Nuernians, who fear retaliation from Imperial Rusland.

"Chimatsuri is unprepared to process such numbers," said Immigration Minister Ivan Lockyt, "and we are aware of the evacuation centres already being provided by the governments in Tokkyland and NuerNeo. As such, we are currently involved in discussions with these nations as to the best way to care for these refugees."

FOAB Bomb Discovered - Reason for Evacuation Confirmed

Yesterday Nuernain forces scoured the evacuated city of Goldleaf, the capital of Imperial Rusland. After hours of searching, a Lt. Richards discovered in the city centre, what he says was "a mofo of a bomb". Lt. Richards called in a bomb squad to attempt a removal or deactivation of the bomb.

When the bomb squad arrived, they immediately knew it would be impossible to move.
"I identified it as a FOAB, the most powerful non-nuclear bomb, and it ways approximately 7 tons. The risk of moving such heavy object would be too great." Said Graham Draft, one member of the bomb squad.

Due to the immediate and excellent work done by the Nuernian bomb squad, the bomb was successfully deactivated.
"If the city hadn't been evacuated, and the bomb went off, it would of killed about 5000 people." Said Mr. Draft.

Sources from the Nuernian government confirmed that they had received intelligence that IFA had planted the FOAB in Goldleaf, which was the reason for the sudden evacuation of the city.

"I can't believe IFA would do such a thing. We supported them, they wanted freedom for Imperial Rusland, but now we find out that they tried to kill us." Said an Imperial civilian who prefers to remain anonymous.

The Nuernian government assures both the civilians of Imperial Rusland and NuerNeo that they will do their best to protect them from the IFA.

"This is all crazy!" yells Mr. Bobby Smithson, a Tokkynian immigrant currently living in Imperial Rusland. "The IFA wanted to make it seem like those Nuerneoists bombed the city! Why doesn't the Imperial Rusland and NuerNeo's governments order the tracking and capture of these d***heads? I bet they use this as an excuse to gain land!" continues Mr. Bobby, while nearly hitting the cameraman in rage.

Another Tokkynian, Mrs. Victoria Angelica, took the time to give her opinion on the events:

"Something is up, otherwise the Imperial army would be already chasing those maniacs, not supporting them. My biggest fear is that we will be conquered by the Nuernians." explains Mrs. Victoria. She also adds: "I've heard of the events in Tokkyland too, and I'd like to tell my mother and father to do what the authorities say, as it's for their own safety."

Byzantiine Government Appeals for Calm Amid Continued Regional Conflict
2:27PM Byzantiium Standard Time (BST)-Constantinople

The Byzantiine Directorate has issued a public declaration appealing for a cessation of hostilities and stronger pushes for diplomatic solutions. The Directorate even offered its capital as a neutral meeting space and offered to mediate between conflicting sides though any further aide is still tied up in inter-department disputes.

"We are absolutely appalled at the use of such powerful weaponry in Goldleaf," said Administrator Zia Tal-Nar of Byzantiium's State Department. "This is exactly why we must pursue peaceful resolution to these conflicts immediately. Further division will inevitably lead to unnecessary civilian deaths."

The Directorate has also sent offers to neighboring Chimatsuri to assist with the nation's exploding refugee influx as Byzantiium has had a robust program for providing for and assimilating refugees for several years now. Leaks from an official in the State Department hint that a private request may have also been sent urging the Chimatsurite government to use its significant economic power and position in the regional government to pressure the conflicting states into a peace agreement.

Chimatsuri and Byzantiium Form Asylum Alliance

In a joint press conference, Vice Prime Minister Sereya Yttri and Immigration Minister Ivan Lockyt graciously accepted Byzantiium's offer of assistance with processing its refugees.
"Quite frankly, Chimatsuri would be unable to cope with this sudden surge in the level of asylum seekers if it weren't for the generosity of the Byzantiium Directorate," said Minister Lockyt, "and I would ask all Chimatsuriite citizens to join me in expressing their thanks for this show of intra-regional solidarity."
The attention then turned to Minister Yttri, who was questioned about a rumour that the Directorate was pressuring her to engage the rioting nations in diplomatic negotiations. "Whilst I will admit that discussions have been entered into between myself and a delegate from Byzantiium as to how to best assist our neighbours, no course of action has yet been decided on."

Nuernian Assaults Successful

Last night NET (Nuernian Elite Troopers) managed to capture 8 outposts belonging to IFA. NET received limited resistance and casualties were low. Reports have also indicated that IFA have set up a large military camp near the city of Limpz, a key industrial city. A small Nuernian force has been deployed to set up a perimeter before reinforcements arrive from Goldleaf.

NuerNeo Declines Peace Meetings

The Nuernian government declined Byzantiium's offer to join the peace conference, stating that the meetings will just be a waste of time and resources for NuerNeo.
"While we do appreciate Byzantiium's concern, we simply cannot give in to the terrorists. They have threatened not only our people, but the people that they claimed to have fought for." Said Foreign Minister Mikael Frus, "We need to contain IFA immediately and peace talks will not suffice. I'm afraid the only language that IFA understands is violence."

Goldleaf Citizens Return Home

Nuernian authorities have finally declared Goldleaf to be completely safe. Nuernian forces are beginning to escort Goldleaf's citizens back to their homes in the city. In the meantime, the FOAB bomb was safely transported out of Goldleaf to a compound in NuerNeo where experts will try and determine who built and supplied the bomb to IFA.

Supplies for War to Tokkyland and NuerNeo

Kalamare has many large, untapped underground wells of minerals and valuable metals. Going beneath the ground, so as not to hurt the surface in any way, Kalamare's top miners have set to work picking the type of materials needed to aide Tokkyland and NuerNeo in the production of arms and other minor war materials.
While the citizens of Kalamare protest the potential destruction of several of the national parks, the government has decided that this is for the better.
"If we don't do something to help these wars get over with quickly, the region will become a dangerous place to be, even Kalamare. Since they have rejected diplomatic help, this is the only way we have left to assist these nations," said the Prime Minister in a press conference this afternoon.
The government has sent an equal amount of supplies to both nations, and has much more on hand that they will ship any nation facing a crisis of this kind.

The Comrade's Friend

First Blood to NuerNeo

For the past 3 days IFA and NuerNeo have been locked in a bloody battle outside the city of Limpz in north-east Imperial Rusland. Over 13000 IFA militants assaulted the entrenched Nuernian positions. 2000 Nuernian Militia supported by 340 NET, were forced to pull back before sustaining heavy casualties from the sheer numbers of IFA.

However, spies reported that the IFA forces that assaulted the Nuernian positions formed a camp that was later reinforced by another force of 5000 militants. NET took this as the perfect opportunity to strike back and humiliate IFA. NET launched a PAK DA strategic bomber to bomb IFA's camp, using IFA's own FOAB that was used in the attempt to attack Goldleaf. The bombing was incredibly successful, destroying most of the camp and putting the survivors in a state of panic and disarray. This provided a second opportunity for NuerNeo to strike at IFA. The Nuernian Militia, lead by NET, encircled the remaining IFA forces, pushing IFA into a rout. Casualties for both sides are still being calculated, however IFA casualties are estimated to be considerably higher.

Medicine to Aide Doctors

After the recent bombings of IFA camps, Kalamare has followed in the example of several other nations and has sent medicine to both the IFA and NuerNeo.
The "peaceful" citizens of Kalamare rallied up today and loudly commanded the government to send medicine to Both the sides, to help prevent further deaths. After careful consideration and much hesitance, the government has decided to go along with the public's plan, though more supplies have been sent to NuerNeo than to the IFA.

NuerNeo Condemns Kalamarian Aid to IFA

NuerNeo is in uproar over the fact that Kalamare has decided to supply both NuerNeo and IFA with medicinal aid.
"While we respect Kalamare's neutrality in the war, we cannot allow them to give aid to terrorists." States Foreign Minister Mikael Frus.
All Imperial ports have been ordered to confiscate all shipments coming in from Kalamare. Airports have been authorised to do the same.
"Hopefully these unfortunate measures will deter Kalamarian efforts to aid the rebels."

The Phony War

Despite the huge mobilisations, the heavily guarded coasts and the strongly defended borders, one side has yet to do a move to start the war. Camps have been build along the front lines, providing shelter and food for the soldiers. The army has been waiting for an attack order for 4 days. Even if the situation on land is very boring, the blockade is very succesful. 4 warships have been stopped from leaving the isle, and luckily without any fighting, as the sheer number of the ships constituing the blockade scared them enough. Also, 3 trade ships have been turned back, and several planes are now following the ships. It is in our nation's best interest to find out who supports the Isle, and depending on who owns the ships, security measures will have to be made. (Someone can take the role)

Also, the government and most of the populace would like to applaud the Nuernian military for their victories over the IFA. Even though the victories MIGHT seem small, they are very important in the fight against the IFA. After a recent poll, most citizens considered that the NET and the Nuernian military in general should be an example for Tokkyland. Therefore, today, the Tokkyland's Special Forces (TSF) have been born. TSF is an elite group consisting of the best soldiers, highly experienced commanders, and the latest technology in warfare. It's goal will be to assist any nation in highly risky and dangerous missions, and will also play the role of a intelligence agency, as well as combating terrorism in New South Wales as a whole.

Chimatsuri Presents Warring Nations With Ultimatum

Defence Minister Hayyim Maricella-Vynr today held a press conference to present an ultimatum to the nations of NuerNeo and Tokkyland.

"Following the recent bloodshed between NuerNeo and the IFA, it is at the point where Chimatsuri cannot simply stand by and let these wars continue. We have already seen the riots in NuerNeo spread into Tokkyland, and briefly Kalamare - who knows what damage they will do next?
"As such, discussions between myself and the honourable Minister for Industry have lead to the decision that, if these nations do not immediately make efforts to stop the violence, our government will have to step in and implement trade sanctions against them."

NuerNeo Scoffs at Chimatsuri's Threats of Sanctions

Recent threats by Chimatsuri to implement trade sanctions against NuerNeo for the war against IFA have simply been laughed at by both the parliament and the public.
"So Chimatsuri want us to simply let the terrorists destroy our nation? Please, NuerNeo has received worse threats than trade sanctions, and one of those threats is IFA." Says Jessica Mayer, a stay-at-home mother.
"Chimatsuri's threats are hardly threats at all." Says Ronald Wellington, an economist, "NuerNeo barely imports any goods at all, and there are hardly any imports from Chimatsuri anyway."

Voron Black also seemed quite calm about the situation, "NuerNeo has far bigger problems than having to worry about a few lost imports. Maybe such threats would work against your typical Capitalist nation, but it will not work here. NuerNeo has always managed by themselves and will continue to do so."

NuerNeo Sends Diplomat to Tokkyland

NuerNeo has sent Joseph Zurk, High Diplomat of NuerNeo's Foreign Affairs Office, to Tokkyland, in the hope of signing a military pact between the two nations. Details of the pact are still to be discussed.

Protests Erupt in Southern Byzantiium
Central Cuide Island - 11:45 PM (BST)

Transportation in the southern republic's capital in Byzantiium were slowed to a halt this evening as protests erupted throughout the city both in support and in condemnation of NuerNeo and Tokkyland's military exploits. Pro and anti-Nuernian groups clashed in Cuide's capital, sparking the first instances of mass violence and vandalism in decades for the nation. Anti-Nuernian groups, horrified at what they describe as overkill on the part of NuerNeo's military, became even angrier when word spread that the nation had blocked medical transports from Kalamare. Pro-Nuernian groups have been rallying outside of government buildings calling for Byzantiium to step up, revitalize its military and join NuerNeo and Tokkyland. While only minor to moderate injuries have been reported so far, communications and emergency personnel have been overwhelmed by the sheer number of protesters.

Directorate Condemns NuerNeo, Appeals to Kalamare

While division and protest spread through the southern cities, the Directorate in Constantinople presented a unified front, condemning the actions of NuerNeo in no uncertain terms. Upon hearing that NuerNeo was blocking medical aide, the Director of Health and Safety immediately rescinded all offers of medical supplies. Meanwhile, the Director of State, Administrator Tal-Nar, has claimed that the Worker's State is in direct violation of World Assembly resolutions regarding medical transports. Concern over the possible unification of two of the most militarized states in the region prompted the Directorate to send formal requests to the Regional Delegate, Kalamare, demanding that quick and decisive action be taken to force the nations into talks.

Tokkyland's Eye

BREAKING NEWS:

Tokkyland responds to Chimatsuri's Ultimatum

The government has finally given a response to the Ultimatum given by the Chimatsuri:
"Even if Tokkyland can support itself for a time, the risk of damaging the relationship between our nations prompted us to retreat all troops from the borders of Aleniara Isle, as well as the naval blockade." says Minister of Foreign Affairs, Julien Lomeny. "But that does not mean we are giving up on those maniacs, we would like to assure the populace of Tokkyland that despite the lack of army presence in the Isle's vicinity, we are still prepared for them." the Minister of Defence adds, before getting into his black limousine along with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and driving away to meet Joseph Zurk, the Nuernian diplomat. The army has retreated deeper in the nation, and is now located in military camps near the cities closest to the border, while the navy has gone south, allowing ships to leave and enter the Isle, while still keeping an eye on their activity.

In other news, the government is afraid of the worst, as the Kalamarein (Sorry for the wrong demonym) negotiator, Mr Peckman has not returned from the Isle, and the microchip's signal is gone. His last location was in the Parliament building in the capital of Aleniara Isle, Navulka. Should Kalamare agree, we will send the TSF on their first mission to track and hopefully rescue Mr Peckman.

Despite Byzantiium's condemnation of NuerNeo and Tokkyland backing down to trade sanctions, NuerNeo has refused to give in to regional pressure to end the war against IFA.
"Byzantiium's Administrator Tal-Nar, is wrong in stating that NuerNeo is in violation of any World Assembly resolutions..." Says Voron Black, "... in fact we are upholding resolution GENERAL ASSEMBLY RESOLUTION #25 by preventing aid to IFA. Kalamare and those that support the actions Kalamare have made, are in direct violation of WA and international law."

NuerNeo continues to make heroic victories in Imperial Rusland, with NET and the militia pushing IFA further north, towards the IFA stronghold of Set.

To All Nations of New South Wales

Upon reviewing GAR25, the Free Land of Kalamare has realized it's mistake, and apologizes for not looking into their decisions. They also realize that in the first line of the resolution, it uses the phrase "international terrorism," which does not apply in this case.
Since all nations in this region, no matter which side they support are breaking at least one law of the WA, Kalamare has come up with a compromise:

We will continue to ship medical supplies to Imperial Rusland's hospitals, where they will be rationed and not given directly to terrorists. Any criminal wishing to receive medical treatment may come directly to the hospitals, where they will be healed, and then detained by the NuerNian government, therefore, NuerNeo is not withholding medical supplies from citizens, and Kalamare is not aiding terrorists, freeing the region of these particular crimes.

We sincerely hope that you will accept this compromise, to prevent further bloodshed on more than one level. Please consider the lives this could save, civilian or otherwise.

The Cabinet of Kalamare
